Speaker Series: Albert Yeung

Tai Chi is a form of martial art that has been practiced in China for hundreds of years, and there is a growing interest in learning Tai Chi in the West. Numerous studies have looked into the health effects of Tai Chi, and more recently, its effects on psychological well being. In this talk, we will discuss the scientific basis, methodological considerations, and the existing evidence for the effects of Tai Chi on treatment of depression.

About the Speaker

Dr. Albert S. Yeung is the Director of Primary Care Studies in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Educated at the National Taiwan University Medical College, his research interests include the use of alternative methods to treat mood and anxiety disorders.
